According to Dost Mohammad Mazari, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly, Hamza Sharif got 179 votes while Parvez Elahi got 176 votes. Elahi had to face defeat by 3 votes.
Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has suffered a major setback in the Punjab Chief Minister election. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's son Hamza Sharif has defeated PTI candidate Pervez Elahi. After this, Hamza will continue to be the Chief Minister of Punjab. According to Dost Mohammad Mazari, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly, Hamza Sharif got 179 votes while Parvez Elahi got 176 votes. Elahi had to face defeat by 3 votes.
Let us inform that Elahi had earlier got 186 votes but Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Dost Mohammad Mazari canceled 10 votes of PML-Q. He said that the votes of PML-Q members will not be counted. For this, he cited the letter of Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain. It is being told that Chaudhary had refused to give his support to Elahi. After this, only 176 votes remained in Elahi's account. As a result, he had to face defeat in this election.
Mazari read Shujaat's letter before announcing the result. Mazari quoted Hussain as saying, "As the party chief of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q), I have issued instructions to all my provincial members to vote in favor of Muhammad Hamza Shahbaz Sharif." Gaya and all these votes went in favor of Hamza. The 10 members whose votes were not counted include Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Shuja Nawaz, Muhammad Abdullah Waraich, Parvez Elahi, Muhammad Rizwan, Sajjad Sajid Ahmed Khan, Ehsanullah Choudhary, Muhammad Afzal, Bismah Chaudhry and Khadija Umar. Huh.
At the same time, Imran Khan is not satisfied with this result. His party has decided to move the Supreme Court against the result. The party has said that a petition will be filed in the Supreme Court tonight. PTI gave this information by tweeting.
