Police have crossed all limits of brutality on Baloch women demanding the release of missing people in Pakistan. These women have been dragged badly by the police on the streets of Karachi. Human rights activist condemned

Human rights activist Ashraf Baloch tweeted, 'This is the so-called Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Where women demanding the release of missing people are being dragged on the streets of Karachi. Unfortunately, Pakistan is a member of the United Nations. Despite the efforts of the civil society, there has been no end to the issue of forced disappearances in Pakistan. Canada-based think tank, International Forum for Rights and Security (IFFRAS), said it is ironic that Pakistan's governments have resolved to end cases of forced disappearances, but to no end.

Army is being held responsible

Let us tell you that the reality of Pakistan is that it is quite comfortable in missing people. It is used to intimidate and terrorize the questioners. Former lawmakers and human rights activists called for legislation on International Enforced Disappearances Day (August 30) to ensure that limits are set on state institutions. Pakistan's forces are accused of being responsible for the disappearance of some 5,000 to 8,000 individuals.

Most people missing in Balochistan

According to local media reports, Balochistan activists top the list of missing. Cases of forced disappearances have been reported significantly more in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provinces, where active separatist movements take place. Activists protesting peacefully are arrested arbitrarily.
