Russia-Ukraine War: Capital of Ukraine again shaken by Russian missiles, air alert issued across the country

Russia launched an airstrike on Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. After which an air strike alert has been issued across the country. Local media reports said that cities from central Ukraine to the southern Mykolaiv region were hit by the blasts.

The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for more than a year. But till now there is no remote possibility of ceasefire.

Ukraine is suffering huge losses due to this war. Today once again Russia launched an airstrike on Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. After which an air strike alert has been issued across the country.

Air alert issued in Ukraine

Ukraine's capital Kiev was rocked by explosions early Friday, Interfax Ukraine and social media channels reported. Air raid sirens and explosions were reported across the country. Russia most targeted Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. However, it is not yet clear that how many people have died or any damage has been done in this airstrike. 

Explosions from central Ukraine to southern Mykolaiv region

The Ukrainian army said that our anti-aircraft units are continuously running operations. She is engaged in destroying Russian missiles. Local media reports said that cities from central Ukraine to the southern Mykolaiv region were hit by the blasts.

Interfax reported explosions in Dnipro, Kremenchuk and Poltava in central Ukraine, while explosions were reported in Mykolaiv in the south just after midnight.

Ukraine's high-rise building attacked

Interfax cited accounts on the Telegram messaging service that Russian missiles were headed west of the country. Interfax Ukraine and local Telegram channels said explosions were heard in Kiev and the region around the capital early Friday. Ukraine Front Lines reported that a Russian X-101/555 missile hit a high-rise building in Uman, Cherkasy Oblast.

Xi Jinping talks with Zelensky

On Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping had a long telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was the first time in more than a year after the Russian invasion. Chinese state media reported that Xi told Zelensky that China would make every effort to end the war because if there was a nuclear war, everyone would suffer.
