Ukraine's air force shot down 35 Iranian-made drones over Kyiv. The attacks by Kremlin forces killed three civilians, according to officials. According to Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, five people were injured in the capital by falling drone debris. The air raid alarm sounded for more than three hours during the night.

Attacked by martyr drones of Iran

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said in a Telegram post that debris from the drone fell on a two-story apartment building in Kyiv's western Sviatoshynskyi istrict, while other debris fell on a car parked nearby, setting it on fire.

Faced with economic sanctions and limits on its supply chains due to its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has routinely turned to Iran's martyr drones to bolster its firepower. Ukraine's defense ministry said three civilians were killed in Russian shelling of 127 targets in northern, southern and eastern parts of Ukraine.

Eight cruise missiles were also fired

The report said the Kremlin's forces used tanks, drones, mortars, warplanes, multiple rocket launchers and surface-to-air missiles to bombard Ukraine. Officials said Russian long-range missiles fired eight cruise missiles at Ukraine's southern Odessa region.

According to Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat, some Soviet-era cruise missiles fired against the Odessa region were destroyed or fell into the sea before reaching their targets.
