The Kashmir Files dictator 'Vivek Agnihotri' calls bollywood 'deaf and dumb', for not leaning and understanding simple maths
Vivek Agnihotri questioned the economics of Bollywood asking why they can't learn from the highest-grossing films. Along with this, he calls Bollywood deaf and dumb.
The director of 'The Kashmir Files' Vivek Agnihotri always stays in the limelight for his outspoken statements. Once again he has vented his anger on Bollywood. He has mirrored Hindi cinema by citing hit South films this year like R Madhavan's 'Rocketry', Nikhil Siddharth's 'Karthikeya 2', and Rishabh Shetty's latest Kannada blockbuster 'Kantara'.
He said that the blockbuster films of South that released this year were hits on the basis of their merit and what they show. These films were made on micro budget and they were not even heavily marketed. These South films created history after their release. In support of his point, the director of The Kashmir Files gave further arguments.
Praised south cinema
Posting on the tweet, he wrote – 4 short films with no stars, no marketing or distribution support - #TheKashmirFiles, #Kartikeya2, #Kantara & #Rocketry earned around 800 crores at the box office. The total cost of producing of 4 films is under 75 crores. Is Bollywood blind, deaf and dumb that they don't understand and learn simple maths?
