This Vietnamese company will launch its first EV in India next year, will compete with Tesla
According to a media report, Tesla Rive EV maker VF is planning to launch 2-3 electric SUVs starting with the E-34 crossover. It is likely to be imported through the CBU route. However, it is not yet confirmed whether this vehicle will be locally assembled or CBU. An official announcement is yet to be made from the company.
Vietnam-based electric vehicle manufacturing company VinFast Auto is all set to launch its first EV in the Indian market in April 2024. This will be the first car of the brand, which will come in the Indian market.
There will be local manufacturing
If media reports are to be believed, this EV will not be brought to India through CBU, rather it will be assembled locally. In the coming time, Tesla is also preparing to launch its vehicles in India by manufacturing them locally. VinFast is also planning to bring its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs to India. The report states that these will be assembled locally. Subsequently, the brand will introduce more models including a full-size sedan.

VinFast VF8 was first spotted in India in June last year. The SUV may be capable of generating 397 bhp and 620 Nm of torque.
Equipped with dual motor configuration, the top speed of this car can be around 471 km.
