Pakistan News Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has claimed that former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa conspired to assassinate him. After this claim of Imran, there has been a stir in the political circles of Pakistan. 

Pakistan former Prime Minister Imran Khan: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has alleged that former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa conspired to kill him and destroy the country. I had planned to impose emergency. 

Imran made this shocking claim during a conversation with Pakistani TV channel Bol News in Lahore. Bol's Lahore bureau chief Syed Khawar Abbas quoted Imran Khan as saying that Khan would hold a press conference and make revelations about the deadly attack on him in Wazirabad. 

'Don't talk about General Bajwa' - Imran

According to Abbas, Imran Khan said, "Messages are being sent to me and it is being told not to talk about General Bajwa anymore as he has retired. He recalled that after the attack, the opponents were claiming that the assassination attempt was done in religious hatred and then I had said that it was a conspiracy. He claimed that General Bajwa wanted to him get killed and impose emergency in Pakistan. 

Demand to register FIR

Imran Khan reiterated his demand for registering an FIR in the murderous attack on him and urged the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognizance of it, Dawn reported. He gave the names of those whom he believed were behind the assassination plot. He also said that he would visit the country when the situation improves.

Imran Khan was injured

According to the Dawn report, Pakistan's Joint Investigation Team (JIT) is probing the assassination attempt on former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. A probe by the JIT constituted by the Punjab government has revealed that three bullets were fired at Imran Khan on a container-mounted truck during PTI's Azadi March in Wazirabad. Imran Khan was injured in the attack and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. After the attack on Khan, people also protested in front of Corps Commander House in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 

'Bajwa was backstabbing'

Earlier, during an interaction with media persons in Lahore, Khan had said, "General Bajwa called me a playboy and I replied to him 'yes, I was a playboy,'" according to The News International. Bajwa was backstabbing and showing sympathy too." Imran also claimed that Bajwa's setup is still working with the Pakistan Army.

Bad relationship because of this

Talking about his relations with Bajwa, former PM Imran Khan said that the former army chief did not want accountability in the country, hence his relations with him deteriorated. Khan was constitutionally removed from power in April last year. Imran had accused Bajwa of using the services of Hussain Haqqani, Pakistan's former ambassador to the United States, for lobbying.
