Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was awarded the most prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Dancer Mithun Chakraborty has been working in films for more than 50 years. Along with Manasi, Nithya Menon also received the Best Actress award. Nithya won this award for her performance in Dhanush's film Thiruchitrambalam. Rishab Shetty received the Best Actor Lead award for Kantara.
Directed by Viral Shah, the film Kutch Express also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dharmendra Gohil, Darsheel Safari and Viraf Patel in lead roles.
