Gurdwara Shootings: Police have arrested 17 people in connection with the shooting at a gurdwara in Sacramento County, California. At the same time, raids have also been conducted at more than 20 places. Police seized weapons such as an AK-47, handcuffs and at least one machine gun.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta, Yuba City Police Chief Brian Baker, and Sutter County District Attorney Jennifer Dupree made the announcement at a joint press conference today.

Search operation conducted at 20 places

Let us tell you that on April 16, a large-scale search operation was conducted by issuing search warrants at 20 places in Northern California. Most of these 17 accused were members of the local Sikh community. Sutter County District Attorney Jennifer Dupre said two of those arrested are Mafia members "wanted on multiple murders" in India.

All the accused are part of the criminal syndicate

California's attorney general said the members arrested were part of a rival criminal syndicate. They are responsible for numerous violent crimes and shootings, including five murders, all in Sutter, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Yolo and Merced counties. Members of these groups were allegedly involved in the August 27, 2022 mass shooting at the Stockton Sikh Temple and the March 23, 2023 shooting at the Sacramento Sikh Temple.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta said the family had nothing to worry about. We are putting suspected gang members and their associates behind bars.

The incident took place at 2:30 pm in the Sikh Society temple

The incident of firing at the Sikh temple took place last month in March at around 2.30 pm. This shooting took place at Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society Temple. Amar Gandhi, a spokesman for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, said the shooting was not related to a hate crime and that the incident was a shootout between two people who are known to each other.
