More than 200 soldiers from both sides have been killed in clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan in this week. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan are accusing each other of provocation. According to the Interfax news agency, Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told parliament that 135 of its soldiers had been killed so far. At the same time, Azerbaijan says that 77 of its soldiers have died. 

Tension on the border

Russia called for a ceasefire on Wednesday night after two days of fighting, but on Friday Armenia said tensions remained between the two countries along the border. While Armenia is a military ally of Russia, it also has good relations with Azerbaijan. In fact, the conflict between the two countries over the Nagorno-Karabakh region has been going on for more than a decade. 

Action after the provocation of Armenia  

Armenia says that Azerbaijani soldiers broke into its settlements and attacked. At the same time, Azerbaijan says that it only acted in defense after the provocation of Armenia in response. 

Ceasefire in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on Friday agreed to a ceasefire after violent clashes. It was told by the President's Office of Kyrgyzstan that in the meeting held in Uzbekistan, both the countries decided to withdraw their forces. Three have been killed and dozens injured in the conflict between two of Russia's allies amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Both countries have accused each other of shelling each other in the disputed area. 

31 people from Kyrgyzstan injured in clash

The Kyrgyz Border Guard said the ceasefire entered into force at 4 p.m. local time on Friday. Earlier, Kyrgyzstan alleged that Tajik forces had attacked Kyrgyz settlements and an adjoining airport with tanks and mortars. At the same time, Tajikistan alleged that Kyrgyz forces opened heavy fire on its forward posts and villages. Kyrgyzstan alleged that 31 of its people were injured in this conflict.
