Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who went on the Bharat Jodo Yatra, again launched a political attack on the BJP on Tuesday. He said Hindutva teaches 'Om Shanti', while the BJP, which claims to be the representative of Hindus, spreads 'unrest'. He said that the dream of India is broken, not scattered. To fulfill the dream, we are connecting India. The journey of 100 km has been completed and it is just the beginning.

Although Tuesday was the seventh day of this Congress's journey, but it was the third day of the journey in Kerala. 

Addressing people after the conclusion of the yatra at Kalabalam on Tuesday evening, Rahul Gandhi said the first thing that is taught in Hinduism is the word 'Om Shanti'. He further said, 'So please tell me how a party which calls itself the representative of Hindus, is creating 'unrest' in the whole country? Wherever they are going, they are destroying harmony, attacking people and dividing people.

All religions teach to respect each other. Rahul said that he has gone out to connect India. The purpose of his visit is to unite all Indians irrespective of their religion, community, language etc. Even if we have blisters on our feet, we are not going to stop.

Earlier, on reaching the first leg of the yatra in the morning, Congress's in-charge of communications Jairam Ramesh tweeted, "Padyatra has reached Mamom on the morning leg. There will be conversations with different groups here. 

CPI(M) said, will not oppose the yatra, will respond to criticism

A day after raising questions over Bharat Jodo Yatra's stay in Kerala for more days than Uttar Pradesh, the CPI(M) said it was not opposed to the yatra but would respond to inappropriate remarks and criticism against the party. On raising the question about the yatra, the Congress had bluntly said that it has come out to strengthen the party, not the unity of the opposition. 

'Dynastic' rule is better than current 'autocracy'

Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena on Tuesday lauded Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, saying the "dynastic" system of governance is better than the current "autocracy" in the country. An editorial in Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana said that instead of attacking Rahul Gandhi, the BJP should answer his questions.
