Covid-19: Centre warns state governments not to relax ground realities over third wave.
As soon as the lockdown is lifted, the markets are once again crowded. The Central Governments have warned the States to be extremely vigilant while relaxing the restrictions as corona rules are flouted. It has also directed states to adopt the '3T+V' formula to prevent infection.
The second wave of the corona epidemic wreaked havoc in the country. To overcome this, all the States including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra imposed strict restrictions. Meanwhile, the new corona case and infection deaths continue to decline, after which states have started relaxing the restrictions in force. The directions from the Central Government have been issued following a warning from AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria that the third wave of corona will hit in the next 6 to 8 weeks. Guleria warned on Saturday that the third wave could come in 6-8 weeks if the corona-related guideline is not followed. We need to aggressively continue our fight against the coronavirus until vaccination takes place.
Guleria said that if people do not follow the necessary guidelines like masks and social otherwise, difficult situations can arise. The AIIMS director said surveillance and the area where cases escalate may also need to be identified and lockdown imposed as corona cases escalate.
