Imran khan's shocking claim - Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif to face Majority test?

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that President Arif Alvi will soon ask Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to face a trust vote. Imran has stepped up efforts to pressurize the government for mid-term elections. The Shahbaz government is adamant on conducting general elections only after the completion of its tenure in August.

Imran told 'Hum News TV' on Saturday, "Shehbaz Sharif had tested us in Punjab and now it is his turn to prove whether he has majority in the National Assembly or not."

Citing differences in the federal alliance, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman said, "First Shehbaz Sharif should go through the trust vote and later we have another plan for him." It may be noted that Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has threatened to leave the alliance on the issue of local body elections in Karachi and Hyderabad. The MQM-P has seven members in the National Assembly. In the event of his leaving the alliance, the Shahbaz government will not be able to survive. 

Meanwhile, in Pakistan, the Punjab Assembly was dissolved on Saturday evening as per the constitutional provision, 48 hours after Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman refused to sign the advice of Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervez Elahi. Imran said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will also be dissolved in a few days. Deep into political engineering, the Pakistani establishment has claimed that the powerful military establishment has learned nothing from past mistakes. 

The army is still involved in political engineering in the country. The former prime minister said this year's general elections would witness the unconstitutional involvement of the Pakistan Army. The Pakistan Army has been known to oust the government and influence the democratic system by engineering.
