Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah together once again took charge of Bangladesh's innings. Mushfiqur Rahim scored 38 runs and Mahmudullah scored 46 runs. For India, Bumrah, Siraj and Jadeja got two wickets each. Whereas, Kuldeep and Shardul Thakur got 1-1 wicket.

Rohit-Gil gave a stormy start

While chasing the target, Rohit and Shubman Gill batted brilliantly. Both added 88 runs for the first wicket. Rohit was out after scoring 48 runs. At the same time, Shubman Gill completed his first half-century in the World Cup. He was out after scoring 53 runs. Shreyas Iyer failed to play a big innings. He was out after scoring 19 runs. However, Kohli played cautiously and maintained one end.
