IND vs PAK 2007 Final Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has made a big disclosure regarding the first T20 World Cup final match played between India and Pakistan. He said that no major bowler was prepared to bowl the last over.
Sk. Just ahead of the T20 World Cup final against England, former Pakistan captain and 2007 teammate Shoaib Malik shared a funny revelation. Recalling the 2007 T20 World Cup, he said that when Pakistan needed 13 runs in the last over, some of India's senior bowlers refused to bowl.
No fan of Team India will forget that match when the last over was bowled by Joginder Sharma and as the last wicket, Misbah-ul-Haq was dismissed by Sreesanth while playing a scoop shot and the Indian team adorned with youth became champions for the first time.
Shoaib Malik while talking to A Sports said that "I will not name them but at that time all the leading bowlers had one over each. Dhoni asked everyone but everyone refused to bowl the last over. All to Misbah. Afraid to bowl. He was hitting in all directions of the ground.".

Team India's leading bowlers in that match included RP Singh, S Sreesanth, Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh. But he did not tell which bowler Shoaib Malik is referring to. Talking about the most successful bowling, RP Singh took 3 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs. However, the Pakistan team had won the T20 World Cup title in the very next edition itself.
