Russia Ukraine War: Putin ordered to raise 3 lakh soldiers, preparing to merge four parts of Ukraine

Putin said the decision was taken to protect the homeland, its sovereignty and territorial integrity. This was seen by the West as an escalation.

The war going on for almost seven months
