Bombay Stock Exchange has broken the record once again. The total m-cap of the companies present in the BSE list has crossed Rs 291 lakh crore. This time also the highest m-cap is of Reliance Industries.

The market capitalization of companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has once again set a new record. Thursday means that today the total market capitalization of all the companies present in the list of BSE has crossed Rs 291 lakh crore. After the reduction in the inflation rate, it is expected that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will not increase the interest rates in any way.

On 8 June 2023, the RBI had decided to keep the repo rate constant at 6.50 percent. The inflation rate in America has reached below the minimum level of 2 years. Many companies have been listed in the BSE of the Indian stock market. Because of this, there has been a spurt in capitalization in the market. In 2022, many companies like LIC, Delhivery, Adani Wilmar have joined.

Softening of the primary market

Even though BSE is making new records. However, in the meantime, softening is being seen in the primary market. In 2022, total 38 companies were listed in the stock market. So far in 2023 only 7 companies have been listed.

The market has seen a decline only during the Covid epidemic. However, the market has not seen a decline in 2021.

Increase in the market cap of these companies

By the month of March this year, the total market capitalization of companies listed on BSE has increased by Rs 40 lakh crore. The m-cap of Reliance Industries has increased by Rs 2 lakh crore. After this, the market capitalization of ITC (ITC), ICICI Bank (ICICI Bank), State Bank of India (SBI), Tata Motors and TCS (TCS) has increased from Rs 51,000 to Rs 82,000 crore. The m-cap of Bajaj Finance and Adani Enterprises has increased by Rs 1 lakh crore.
