Several videos of the blast have surfaced in which panicked people are seen running here and there. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the suicide attack and said that this attack is against the teachings of Quran.

The blast took place at 1.40 am in the mosque located in the police line area during the afternoon prayer. According to a report in Pakistan's newspaper, police officials have confirmed that the suicide bomber was standing in the first line for prayers with the namazis. He blew himself up during namaz.
Peshawar city police official Mohammad Ejaz says that the exact number of casualties cannot be told yet because some people are still buried under the rubble.
Mohammad Asim, spokesman for Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital, says that dozens of injured have been brought to the hospital, mostly policemen. He said, 'Most of the injured are police officers. The condition of some is very serious but the condition of most is stable.
Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the Health Department of Peshawar has declared an emergency.

High alert in capital islamabad
High alert has been issued after this suicide attack in Pakistan's capital Islamabad. In a tweet from the official Twitter handle of the Islamabad Police, it has been said that Islamabad's IG Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has ordered to increase security. It has been said in the tweet that security has been increased at all entry and exit points in the city for strict monitoring.
Peshawar's Investigative Superintendent of Police Shazad Kaukab's office is right near the mosque. He told the media that as soon as he entered the mosque for the afternoon prayer, there was a loud explosion. He said that his survival is a matter of good fortune.
It is worth noting that the mosque in which the attacker entered inside the police line is considered very safe. To go there, people have to go through four security layers.

Shahbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the incident and said that the brutal killing of Muslims who prostrate before Allah is against the teachings of the Holy Quran. He said that targeting a mosque shows that the attackers have nothing to do with religion. Terrorists want to create fear among those who are protecting Pakistan by targeting them.

The PM said that the names and fate of those fighting against Pakistan will be erased. He further said that the whole country and its institutions are united to eliminate terrorism and the country salutes its martyrs.
