The Nepotism vs Outsiders debate is quite old in the film industry. Karan Johar has often been at the center of this debate and has been accused of only launching Star Kids. At the same time, many actors have also been seen sharing their pain, in which they tell how many difficulties they faced in making a career in films due to being outsiders.

Kangana Ranaut often talks about this. She also called Karan Johar the flag bearer of nepotism in her show Koffee with Karan. Amidst all such allegations and debates, Jio Studios and Mahaveer Jain have taken a unique initiative.

New faces will be launched from newcomers

The launch of the Initiative New Commerce was announced at the FICCI Frames fast track event in Mumbai. Under this program, they will be helped to give opportunities to new talent in the film industry. The initiative has been supported by Nitesh Tiwari, Ram Madhvani, Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK, Amit Sharma, Abhishek Sharma, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, Imtiaz Ali and Anees Bazmee.

Giving information about this, Amit Sharma said that this is an exercise to create a huge pool of talent, as well as try to return what we have got from the industry. Through this initiative a platform will be given to new actors, writers, directors, musical talents and technicians. Amit further said that the industry needs to make more films, but established actors have limited dates. Also new talent is needed.

Opportunity for new talents

Krishna DK said that when we started our journey in the industry, we were also new. We made Shore in the City with newcomers. However, he was fantastic. Krishna says that our posters are more about the content than the faces.

Nitesh Tiwari said that he has stopped looking at stars like stars. I see him only as an artist. Never made content keeping the stars in mind. At the same time, Anees Bazmee said that creating good content with new talent is better than making a bad film with a star.

Other filmmakers who have supported newcomers include Rajkumar Hirani, Rohit Shetty, Sukumar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Kabir Khan, Gauri Shinde, R Balki, Aanand L Rai, AR Murugadoss, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Ali Abbas Zafar, Siddharth Anand, Jagan Shakti and others. Vishnuvardhana is included.
