Pakistan: Firing between police and dacoits in Kashmore, Sindh, two policemen killed; four injured
An encounter breaks out between policemen and dacoits in Kashmore, Sindh, in which two policemen were killed and four were seriously injured. At present, the injured policemen have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Two Pakistani policemen were killed and four injured in an encounter with what officials called dacoits at an under-construction checkpost in Punjab province. This information has been given in Dawn's report.
Two policemen killed, four injured in the attack
According to Kashmore-Kandhakot Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Ali Sammo, the police team was investigating on Saturday when the dacoits opened fire on the police. Officer Sammo also informed that following the attack, police officers Sabir Ali and Ahad Ali Domki were killed, while four others including Bakhshapur Station House Officer (SHO) Gul Muhammad Mehar were injured.
Police engaged in investigation
The SSP said the injured were taken to a hospital in Rahim Yar Khan for treatment, while the bodies of the dead officers were sent to Civil Hospital Kashmore. He said that after the incident, a large contingent of police from all over the district was sent to Kachha area for investigation, where an encounter was going on between the police and the dacoits.
Encounter in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Meanwhile, eight militants were gunned down by the authorities in Jarmilan area of South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army's media affairs wing, said two security officers were also killed in the incident. One of them was Lance Naik Shoaib Ali, 25, a resident of Parachinar in Kurram district and the other was Sepoy Rafi Ullah, 22, a resident of Lakki Marwat district.
Continuous encounter between terrorists and police
According to Dawn, the ISPR in its press release said that the guns and ammunition of the terrorists, who are actively involved in terrorist activities against security personnel and killing of innocent persons, were seized.
Three terrorists were killed by security personnel during an IBO in Loesum area of KP's Bajaur district on Tuesday, while three terrorists were killed during an IBO in KP's Bannu district on Monday, Dawn reported.
