US should stay away from Russian airspace: Russia's warning to America, tension between the two countries increased
Ukrainian President Zelensky said that his country's forces would not withdraw from the city of Bakhmut. Last month it seemed that the Ukrainian army might retreat from the city of Bakhmut, but now the number of troops here has been doubled.
Russia has warned the US to stay away from its airspace. This warning has been given by Russia after its jets shot down an American drone in the Black Sea. This is the first direct confrontation between these two superpowers after the Russia-Ukraine war.
Russia will try to get debris
Both Washington and Moscow are blaming each other for the incident. Where the drone was shot down, the US is calling it international airspace while Russia is claiming that it has won the area from Ukraine. Russia is also saying that the presence of this American drone is proof that America is directly interfering in the Ukraine war.
Now Russia will try to recover the wreckage of the drone from the sea, while the US said that it has taken steps to ensure that Russia cannot obtain intelligence from the wreckage. On the other hand, Ukraine has reacted to the incident that Russia wants to provoke war with the rest of the world as it is facing a strategic defeat in Ukraine.
Zelensky will not leave Bakhmut
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky said that his country's forces would not withdraw from the city of Bakhmut. Last month it appeared that Ukrainian forces might withdraw from the city of Bakhmut, but now the number of troops has been doubled. In his address, Zelensky said that his move has the support of the military.
Many Western and Ukrainian military experts are questioning this strategy. At present, both the countries are stuck in their respective areas and neither side is able to move forward. After winning back much of the territory from Russia in 2022, Ukraine is now waging a defensive war.
